In a highly entertaining and interactive 90 minute session, Mike will introduce you to the world of making comics, then guide you through the process of creating your own.
Whatever your level of confidence or artistic ability, you’ll be amazed at what you can create with a pencil, paper, and a little help from Mike’s nurturing mix of demonstration and facilitation.
As each participant makes their own one-page comic, we’ll dig into the nature of creativity, the importance of having unique, relatable characters, the power of choosing the right setting, and the core ingredients needed to make every story you tell into a great one.

Mike Barry is an award-winning Creative Director from Sydney, Australia with over fifteen years, experience in digital and creative agencies. He now consults directly with businesses, helping them develop storytelling strategies for digital and social channels. He is also an accomplished graphic novelist.
